There are two main choices with Denplan:

Denplan Essentials

With Denplan Essentials you have an easy way to budget for the costs of monitoring your dental health. Affordable monthly payments entitle you to routine examinations, X-rays and hygiene treatments as specified in your contract. Any additional treatments will be paid for by you at private fee rates. It also includes Supplementary Insurance and Denplan Insurance Services.

Denplan Essentials offers you:

Routine and preventive dental care from your dentist
Tick dental examinations (up to the maximum detailed in your contract)
Tick X-rays
Tick scaling and polishing or other hygiene treatment (up to the maximum detailed in your contract)
Tick preventive dental advice
Tick no assessment appointment required

 

Denplan Essentials does not cover the following:
Cross the costs of any restorative dental treatments including fillings, crowns, bridges or dentures (at the discretion of your dentist)
Cross laboratory fees/prescriptions
Cross any treatment specified as excluded by the dentist in your contract
Cross referral to a specialist and specialist treatment
Cross orthodontics, implants, cosmetic treatment
Cross sedation fees

Denplan Care

Denplan Care is a care contract that allows your treating dentist to provide an ongoing preventive dental care treatment programme. It also includes Supplementary Insurance and Denplan's Insurance Services.

Denplan Care offers you:

Routine and preventive dental care from your dentist
Tick examinations
Tick X-rays
Tick necessary fillings
Tick hygiene treatment (including scale and polishes)
Tick preventive dental advice and therapy
Tick any necessary extractions

 

Major restorative care from your dentist
Tick periodontal (gum) treatment
Tick crowns, bridges, dentures, inlays (excluding laboratory fees)
Tick root fillings

Denplan Care does not cover the following:
Cross laboratory fees/prescriptions
Cross any treatment specified as excluded by the dentist in your contract
Cross referral to a specialist and specialist treatment
Cross treatment carried out anywhere other than at your registered dentist except when covered under your Supplementary Insurance
Cross orthodontics, implants, cosmetic treatment
Cross sedation fees

Please remember:

Your routine treatment is at the discretion of your dentist and is detailed in your contract
